Commissioner Rtd Major General Dr G Gwinji gave a background on the transition from the Health Services Board (HSB) to the Health Services Commission (HSC) as well the mandate, vision and mission of the HSC.
After a brief overview and report by Ingutsheni Chief Medical Officer Dr N Mawere the delegation had a discussion session with heads of the various departments of the institution.
The visitors were then taken on a tour of the institution which covered the horticultural project, poultry and rabbit farming projects. A visit to Khumalo ward, the male acute admission ward followed where interactions with nursing staff and patients took place.
The visit concluded with interactions with representatives of all levels of staff where various requests , questions and problems were tabled and discussed with responses from the HSC delegation. Ingutsheni greatly appreciates the visit.
